1936 poster with artwork by Stanley Payne promoting the tourist attractions of London for visitors from France and Belgium. Mention is made of the city's historic monuments, theatres, restaurants, attractions, lights and atmosphere and the image shows St Paul's, Big Ben and Eros amongst other symbols.
Weekend tickets that dispensed with passport requirements were apparently available for the the French and Belgians.
The poster was clearly from the Southern Railway but curiously prospective travellers are referred to the offices of Chemins de fer Brittaniques at 12 Boulevard de la Madeleine, one of the great boulevards of Paris.
